Virgin Mobile USA Launches Its In-Market Monitoring Program |
Wireless Carrier Keeping an Eye on PSMS Activity on Its Network |
FAIRFAX, VA, January 1, 2009—Following several months of trials, Virgin Mobile USA has officially launched its in-market monitoring program with Wireless Media Consulting (WMC) in the driver’s seat. WMC developed the in-market monitoring concept for the U.S. wireless carriers in 2005, commencing service in early 2006. Now, WMC has added Virgin Mobile USA to its growing client portfolio with in-market monitoring of PSMS programs operating on the carrier’s network coupled with one of WMC’s signature offerings, Enforcement and Response Service. The latter component involves WMC media analysts working directly with content providers, and the aggregators who manage them, via email to resolve violations related to their PSMS programs and advertising campaigns.
